Odds drop calculator
Turn an old price and a new price into a percentage drop and a probability change.
An odds drop is the change from a previous price to the current price. This calculator reports that change as a percent of the old price and as implied-probability points.

Under 20%. Pinnacle Terminal labels a pre-match move Sharp drop when the odds fall roughly 20% or more from their recent high. The 0–10 grade also uses speed, limit and trend, which this calculator does not see.
Formula
Price drop = (previous − current) ÷ previous. Probability points = 1 ÷ current − 1 ÷ previous.
Worked example
2.10 to 1.84 is a 12.38% price drop and +6.73 probability points. 3.00 to 2.40 is a 20% drop and +8.33 probability points: the Sharp drop size when 3.00 is the recent high.
FAQ
What counts as a big odds drop?
Size is only one part. Speed, the limit and the trend matter too. See what are dropping odds.
Should I use price percent or probability points?
Price percent describes the quote. Probability points describe how much the implied chance moved. A long price can drop a lot in percent and little in probability.
Does a drop mean value at my bookmaker?
Only if your bookmaker's odds are longer than the fair price. A drop on its own is not an edge.
Why compare with the high, not the opener?
A price can fall back toward where it opened. That is a rebound, not a new move. See odds rebound after a drop.
