Betting variance simulator
A seeded simulation of how far a record can swing.
This shows the range of results your assumptions allow. It is not a forecast, and it is only as good as your edge estimate.
Calculations run entirely in your browser; no data is saved. Seed 7 repeats the same runs.
Formula
Win probability = (1 + edge) ÷ odds. Each bet adds stake × (odds − 1) or subtracts the stake. The analytical mean is bets × stake × edge.
Worked example
500 bets at odds 2.00 with a +3% edge and a 1 unit stake have win probability 0.515, mean result +15 units, standard deviation 22.35 units, and about a 25% chance of finishing down.
FAQ
Is this a forecast?
No. It replays the edge and stake you typed. If that edge is wrong, the range is wrong.
What is a drawdown?
The largest fall from a peak bank to a later bank inside one simulated run.
Why show a seed?
The same seed repeats the same runs, so a result can be checked again.
