A good RebelBetting alternative for value bettors outside its bookmaker list, or for anyone who wants to see why a price is wrong rather than just that it is, is a Pinnacle dropping-odds terminal: Pinnacle Terminal shows each Pinnacle price and limit move as it happens, classifies it, and alerts you so you can bet the old price at your own bookmaker.
RebelBetting has sold value-betting and sure-betting software for many years. It scans bookmakers, compares their prices with a fair estimate, and lists the bets where a book is offering more than it should. Pinnacle Terminal starts from the other end: it watches Pinnacle's moves and leaves the bookmaker check to you, filtered to the leagues your bookmaker offers. Both are tools for the same idea, betting prices that are too long. They suit different bettors.

Scanner vs dropping-odds terminal
A value-bet scanner asks: which bookmaker is offering a price above fair value right now? It needs to know every bookmaker's price, so its usefulness depends on whether your books are supported. It shows you the result of the comparison, ready to bet.
A dropping-odds terminal asks: what did the sharpest market just learn? It watches Pinnacle, which takes large bets from winning players and runs a low margin. When Pinnacle moves, slower books often have not. You then check your bookmaker yourself, or a league filter does the first part for you. Because you see the move itself (size, speed, limit, whether the market was locked) you can judge how much the move is worth. The full method is in our guide to dropping odds.
The trade is simple. The scanner does more of the comparison. The terminal shows more of the cause. If you are choosing between RebelBetting and Trademate, the head-to-head is RebelBetting vs Trademate. When RebelBetting is the better choice
- Your bookmakers are on its list and you want the comparison done for you.
- You also want sure bets in the same tool.
- You prefer a longer trial without a card. Its trial is 14 days with no card; ours is 7 days with a card.
- You want access to brokers and exchanges listed on its Pro plan.
When a Pinnacle terminal is the better choice
- Your bookmaker is not supported by scanners, or offers markets the scanner does not cover. A Pinnacle move is useful at any book that is slower than Pinnacle.
- You want to judge the move, not just the price. A drop with a rising limit and a drop back to the opening price can show the same edge on a scanner. On the terminal they get different labels; see how move grades work.
- You bet props, esports or lower leagues, where Pinnacle often moves first.
- You want alerts on Telegram, sent by a private bot with your own rules, with the fair price updating inside the message.
- You want CLV measured against a devigged close on every bet, automatically. The tracker and CLV guide shows how it is calculated.
Fair price: where the number comes from
Every value tool rests on an estimate of the fair price. The estimate matters more than the interface. If the fair price is too generous, every "value bet" is smaller than it looks, or not value at all.
Pinnacle Terminal derives the fair price from Pinnacle's full market with four devig methods (multiplicative, additive, power and Shin) and shows a worst-case figure that takes the most conservative one. You can check any number by hand with the devig calculator. Whatever tool you use, ask how its fair price is built and whether you can see the inputs.
Before you switch
Two practical points are easy to forget.
Export your history. Your bet log is the only record of how your process has performed. Export it before your subscription ends, in whatever format the tool allows, and keep it with the closing prices if you have them. That history is what you will compare the new tool against.
Keep the comparison honest. Do not judge a new tool on its first good week or its first bad one. Judge both on the same thing: the average gap between the odds you took and the fair closing price, over as many bets as you can log. If the new tool does not lead to bets with a better average gap, it is not better for you, whatever its feature list says.
Mind the overlap. Running a scanner and a terminal side by side can lead you to bet the same edge twice at different books. Use one tool per market type during the test. The same logic applies if you are weighing a Trademate alternative or a ValueBetFactory alternative.
A worked example
The arithmetic, with round numbers: Pinnacle's two-way market moves to 1.84 / 2.06. Multiplicative devig puts the fair price on the favourite at about 1.89. Your bookmaker still offers 2.00, so the modelled edge is 2.00 ÷ 1.89 − 1, about +5.8%. If the fair closing price is 1.85, your CLV is about +8.1%. A scanner would show you something similar as a single "value %" figure. The terminal also shows you whether the move came with a higher limit, a lock or a rebound, which tells you how much to trust it.
How Pinnacle Terminal handles this
Pinnacle Terminal streams Pinnacle's prices and limits over WebSocket and shows the current latency on screen. It does not take bets and is not affiliated with Pinnacle. Every pre-match move gets a label and a 0–10 grade. In-play alerts cover football only and skip moves explained by a recent goal or the score. Basketball main lines trigger an alert when they jump three or more points in under two minutes. Alerts reach a private Telegram bot with your filters; a league filter for eleven bookmakers hides what you cannot bet; the tracker records CLV automatically.
A one-week test
- Run both trials in the same week.
- Filter each to your two or three main bookmakers.
- Log every bet from each tool separately, with the odds you got.
- After a week, compare each set of bets with the closing price.
- Note how much time each tool took per evening.
A week is a small sample. It will not tell you which tool wins over a season, but it will tell you which workflow you actually follow.
