The right TrueEdge Odds alternative depends on where you bet. If you are in a US state with legal sports betting and want +EV, arbitrage, middles, low-hold pairs and promo conversion across your state's sportsbooks, TrueEdge already does that from $79.99 a month. If Pinnacle's moves are the signal you bet, wherever you are, Pinnacle Terminal (€89 a month) is built for that: every pre-match Pinnacle move in 13 sports graded 0–10 and labelled, live in-play football drops, a Basketball lines tab and alerts in your own Telegram bot.
TrueEdge reads US sportsbooks and exchanges, builds a fair price and shows the bets priced wrong, with stakes. Pinnacle Terminal shows one bookmaker, Pinnacle, as it moves, and tells you what kind of move each one is. This page compares the two on facts from TrueEdge's own website and on what we know about our product.
Disclosure: this is the Pinnacle Terminal blog. Facts about TrueEdge come from trueedgeodds.com (home page, /pricing, /features, /faq and its sitemap), all read on 31 October 2026. Prices change; check them at checkout. We do not repeat the earnings estimates on TrueEdge's home page: they are its own estimates and we cannot verify them.
Definition. TrueEdge Odds is an odds comparison and analytics tool for US sports bettors. It compares sportsbook and exchange prices, removes the margin to build a fair price, and lists positive-EV bets, arbitrage, middles and low-hold pairs, plus a promo optimizer, a hedge finder and a bet tracker with closing line value. It does not place bets or hold funds.
What does TrueEdge offer?
On 31/10/2026 trueedgeodds.com described:
- Edge finders. Positive EV ("every book priced against a de-vigged fair line, ranked by edge"), arbitrage with both legs and the stake split, middles, and low-hold pairs.
- Promo tools. A promo optimizer for bonus bets, site credit and deposit matches; boost and rebate maths; an offer tracker by state.
- State-aware board. You pick your state and see only books licensed there. The FAQ says it "works anywhere in the US as a website" and is for adults 21+.
- Coverage. The FAQ says "25+ sportsbooks and exchanges across 38 sports and leagues". The pricing page says the base plan prices 10 books and Live prices 20.
- Exchanges. Kalshi, Polymarket, Novig and ProphetX prices, "with each venue's fees included", plus an Order Book screen.
- Alerts. "In-app, mobile push, Discord or your own webhook", with rules by sport, market, book, minimum edge and minimum stake. Mobile push is on Live. Telegram is not among the channels listed.
- Line movement history. "How a number got where it is, book by book."
- Tracking. Manual tracking on every plan, automatic sync on Live; every bet scored against the closing line; ROI by sport, market, book and month.
- Free tools. A delayed preview of the edge boards and calculators (hold, bonus bet converter, arbitrage stakes, parlay) without an account.

Why look for a TrueEdge alternative?
TrueEdge is a full US toolkit. People who mainly bet Pinnacle moves look elsewhere for four reasons, all from its own pages:
- It is built for the US. The board follows US state licensing. If you bet outside the US, most of what you pay for is not for you.
- Sharp books cost more. The features page lists "Sharp books: Pinnacle, Circa and the offshore books that set the market" as a Live feature, at $299.99 a month.
- In-play and de-vig choice are on Live only. "Choose your own fair-value math: multiplicative, additive, power or Shin de-vig" and in-play prices are both Live features.
- An edge list is not a move. The tools rank prices against a fair line. The pages we read do not describe grading a sharp book's move or flagging when Pinnacle closed the market or raised its limit.

When is TrueEdge the better choice?
- You bet at US sportsbooks. A board filtered by your state's licensed books is the core of the product.
- You convert promos. Bonus bets, deposit matches and boosts are a large part of US value, and TrueEdge prices them. Pinnacle Terminal does not.
- You want arbitrage, middles or low-hold pairs. Pinnacle Terminal does none of these.
- You use exchanges and prediction markets. Kalshi, Polymarket, Novig and ProphetX prices with fees included.
- You want to look back. TrueEdge shows line history book by book. Pinnacle Terminal does not keep a line history.
When is Pinnacle Terminal the better choice?
- You want each Pinnacle move graded, not only priced. Every pre-match move gets a 0–10 grade and a label: Big move (the odds dropped and Pinnacle closed the market), Sharp drop (about 20% or more below the recent high), Limit-backed (the odds dropped and Pinnacle raised the limit, a very confident move), Downtrend, Rebound (the odds returning towards the opener) and Standard. See understanding move grades.
- You want Pinnacle without paying for a top tier. Pinnacle's price, limit and fair price are on every line, at one price.
- You bet outside the US. The league filter covers bet365, Betfair, Betway, bwin, Codere, 888sport, Luckia, Retabet, Sportium, William Hill and Winamax.
- You bet live football drops. Shown as they happen, filtered by goal and score context, not graded.
- You bet basketball lines. The Basketball lines tab catches 3-point jumps in a main spread or total in under 2 minutes, with a lock icon when Pinnacle has moved the line but does not offer the market yet. More in NBA line movement.
- You want alerts in Telegram. Each user gets a private Telegram bot with their own filters; see Telegram alerts.
A real example: a move where the limit told the story
From Pinnacle Terminal on 28 October 2026, Madrid time (CET). ITF Men Norman, first round, Sean Daryabeigi v Luciano Emanuel Ambrogi, start 16:00. Market: handicap Daryabeigi −1.5.
- From 07:36 the price fell hard. The terminal flagged a Big move from 3.38 to 2.84 and the market locked: 1 − 2.84 ÷ 3.38 = 16.0% on that step.
- By 09:37 the side panel read: "Down 45% from its 07:36 high (41 changes) · limit $50 → $150."
- The limit sat at $50 for the whole fall. Pinnacle raised it, in steps, to $150 only after the price settled lower. At 09:37:37 the line was 2.24, with a fair price of 2.437.
An edge finder compares a soft price with a fair line at one moment. This move needs two more facts: the fall happened on a $50 limit, and Pinnacle raised the limit only once it was comfortable with the new number. That changes how far you should trust the fair price you compare against. These limits are one observation on one lower-tier tennis market, not a guide to Pinnacle's limits in general. The full case is in Pinnacle limits explained. Check any price with the devig calculator and the EV calculator.
Is TrueEdge worth it?
For a US bettor who converts promos every week and wants +EV and arbitrage in one plan, it is worth the 7-day trial. If you bet outside the US, or the Pinnacle price is your reference, most of the $79.99 plan is not built for you, and Pinnacle itself sits on the $299.99 tier. Run whichever tool you test on the same matches for a week, count the bets you could still place above the fair price, then judge them by closing line value with the CLV calculator. Other US-style suites are compared in the OddsJam alternative, trackers in CLV tracking tools, and scanners in best value betting software.
How Pinnacle Terminal handles this
TrueEdge answers "which of my state's books is priced wrong right now?"; Pinnacle Terminal answers "what did Pinnacle just do?", wherever you bet. It shows Pinnacle's live price and limit for 13 sports and turns each pre-match change into a graded move (0–10) with a label: Big move when the price drops and Pinnacle closes the market, Sharp drop at roughly 20% or more below the recent high, Limit-backed when the price drops and the limit rises, plus Downtrend, Rebound and Standard. Moves are measured over 2 minutes by default, adjustable. In-play football drops are shown live and filtered, but not graded, and basketball main lines that jump 3+ points in under 2 minutes get their own tab. TrueEdge's alerts go in-app, by push, to Discord or a webhook; ours go to a private Telegram bot built from your filters. There is no arbitrage, middles or promo finder, no state selector and no stored line history; the fair price (Power devig by default) and the CLV tracker are the maths it does for you. Not a bookmaker, not affiliated with Pinnacle. See Pinnacle dropping odds.
