Trademate Sports is a legitimate, long-running value-bet finder from a Norwegian company, and it is worth a trial if you bet at the soft bookmakers it covers and want backtesting in the same product; it is a weaker buy if you mainly want Pinnacle and other sharp books, because those sit on the 400-a-month Pro plan. Our verdict in one line: judge it on the closing line value of the bets it finds, not on the performance figures printed on its own pages.
Disclosure: this is the Pinnacle Terminal blog, and we sell a different kind of tool. Every fact about Trademate below comes from tradematesports.com, read on 31 October 2026: the English home page with its plan list, /en/about, /en/value-guarantee, /en/cancellation (marked "Last updated: 10/31/2026"), /en/our-results and /en/services/bookmakers. If you are choosing between Trademate and another finder, RebelBetting vs Trademate compares the two side by side; if you have already decided to leave, see Trademate alternative. This page is the verdict.
Trademate Sports in one paragraph. A web platform run by TM Sports Technologies AS (Rælingen, Norway), founded in 2016. It estimates a fair price for each outcome, compares it with bookmaker prices and lists the bets where a bookmaker pays more than the estimate. Around that list it adds filters, alerts, an odds comparison screen, performance tracking, optional backtesting and in-play value bets, trading courses and webinars. It does not take bets.
Is Trademate Sports legit?
Yes, in the sense that matters before you sign up: it is an identifiable company with a postal address, named founders and a published cancellation policy. The about page names Marius Norheim (founder and CEO) and Jonas Gjelstad (founder and CMO), plus two developers, and says the company was founded in 2016. It also claims 75,000+ users in 50+ countries. We could not verify that user figure independently, so treat it as the company's own number.
"Legit" does not mean it will work for you. That depends on your bookmakers, your stakes, how long your accounts stay open and variance. No software changes those four.
What does each Trademate plan include?
On 31/10/2026 the home page listed three monthly plans. The figures have no currency symbol on the page, so check the billing currency for your country.
| Trademate US | Trademate Core | Trademate Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per month | 49 | 120 | 400 |
| Value bet finder | 10 US bookmakers | 100+ bookmakers (e.g. Bet365, Unibet, William Hill) | Everything in Core |
| Sports | 4 (American football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey) | All 9 | All 9 |
| Sharp bookmakers (Pinnacle, Betfair, etc.) | — | — | Included |
| Backtesting ("Constructive Analysis & Big Data Backtesting") | Optional | Optional | Included |
| In-play value bets | Optional | Optional | As Core (Pro lists "Everything from Core") |
| Pro trading algorithms | — | — | Customisable |
| Support | Email + priority | As Core |
Every plan lists unlimited filters, real-time odds updates and alerts, the odds comparison tool and performance and portfolio tracking. The page does not price the "optional" add-ons.
The most important line in the table is the sharp-bookmaker row. On Core you are betting soft books against Trademate's fair price; Pinnacle and Betfair as places to bet only arrive on Pro.
Does Trademate have a free trial, and do you need a card?
The home page said "All plans include a 7-day free trial. No credit card required." The cancellation policy, updated the same day, is more cautious: "If you sign up for a free trial, you may be required to provide payment information", and the trial then converts to a paid plan unless you cancel. Both statements were live on 31/10/2026. Assume you might be asked for a card, and set a reminder for day 6.
The same policy says fees are non-refundable, including for "dissatisfaction with the service", with case-by-case exceptions at Trademate's discretion. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
How does the 30-day value guarantee work?
It is a free second month, not a refund. The /en/value-guarantee page sets five conditions:
- A monthly Core, Pro or Bundle subscription (annual plans get "different benefits").
- At least 500 trades in your first 30 days.
- Trademate's recommended staking strategy.
- Only supported bookmakers.
- Evidence from your Trademate account and your bookmaker accounts, sent within 5 days after the first month.
You qualify if the sum of your closed trades is negative. The FAQ adds one exclusion worth reading twice: if your overall result was positive but bookmakers limited your accounts, you do not qualify.
Five hundred bets in 30 days is about 17 a day. At a modest stake that is real turnover and real exposure. Do not let the guarantee set your volume; set your volume from your bankroll. Betting discipline covers how to write those limits down before you start.
How should you read Trademate's performance claims?
With care. On 31/10/2026 the home page and the results page published different "average ROI" figures, and the home page had a calculator that turns a bookmaker balance into an estimated return, with a note that the figures are estimates that "may vary". We do not repeat the percentages here: they are the company's own, they do not match each other, and they describe other people's bets, not yours.
There is a better test, and it costs nothing. For every bet the tool finds, log the odds you took and the fair closing price, then measure the gap. A tool that finds real value produces positive closing line value over a few hundred bets, long before results settle down. The CLV calculator does the arithmetic, and the variance simulator shows how wide results can swing even when the edge is real.
What Trademate does well
- Coverage of soft bookmakers. 100+ on Core is the point of the product: more books means more mispriced lines to choose from.
- Backtesting. Testing a filter on past data before you use it live is rare in this category. A backtest is a check, not a forecast.
- Unlimited filters on every plan. You can narrow the list to the leagues, odds ranges and books you actually bet.
- A cheap US entry plan. At 49 a month, it is a low-cost way to see whether value betting fits your routine.
- Education. Courses and live webinars are listed for users who are new to the method.
Where Trademate falls short
- Sharp books cost 400 a month. If Pinnacle is where you want to bet, or the reference you want on screen, Core does not give you that.
- Mixed signals on the trial. "No credit card required" on the home page; "you may be required to provide payment information" in the policy.
- Self-reported results. The marketing leans on ROI figures and a founder's bankroll story; neither is evidence for a new account.
- No refunds. The guarantee is a free month under conditions, and a user who was ahead but got limited is excluded.
- The bookmaker list did not load for us. /en/services/bookmakers showed "No bookmakers found" on 31/10/2026, so check your books inside the trial.
A worked example: a list row vs a market move
A value finder shows you a row: bookmaker, price, estimated edge. It does not show you how the sharp market got there. A real Pinnacle move from 28 October 2026 (Pinnacle Terminal, Madrid time): ITF Women Taby, Lois Bernstein −1.5 games. At 09:36 the price had fallen from 3.52 to 2.88, about 20% below its 09:04 high after 29 changes with almost no rebounds, with a $225 limit and a fair price of 3.138. The terminal had first labelled it Downtrend, then Sharp drop.
If a soft book still showed 3.30 at that moment (illustrative), a finder would list it at about +5.2% against a fair 3.138, and so would any EV calculation. What the row would not tell you is that Pinnacle had been cutting the price for half an hour, which is the reason the edge exists and the reason it may not last. Both views are useful. They answer different questions.
Who should choose Trademate?
- You bet at several of the 100+ soft bookmakers it covers and want the value list computed for you.
- You want to backtest filters before using them.
- You bet US sports only and want the cheapest way in.
- You like learning from courses and webinars alongside the tool.
Who should look elsewhere?
- You want Pinnacle on screen without paying for Pro.
- You want to know why a price is wrong (a lock, a higher limit, a bounce back), not only that it is.
- You want a refund policy rather than a conditional free month.
Is Trademate worth it?
For a bettor with accounts at the books it covers, Core is worth a 7-day test, measured on CLV, not on the first week's result. Pro is hard to justify unless you need sharp books as bettable venues. And if what you actually want is the moment Pinnacle moves, a value finder is the long way round: you would be paying for a list when you want a signal.
How Pinnacle Terminal handles this
Where Trademate starts from a bookmaker's price and asks whether it is above fair, Pinnacle Terminal starts from Pinnacle and asks what just changed. So instead of an edge figure per bookmaker, you get a 0–10 grade and a type for each pre-match move: Big move (price cut, market closed), Sharp drop (about 20% or more off the recent high, as in the Bernstein case), Limit-backed (price cut while the limit goes up), Downtrend, Rebound and Standard. The drop window defaults to 2 minutes and can be changed. In-play football drops appear live and filtered, with no grade. The Basketball lines tab alerts when a main spread or total moves 3+ points in under 2 minutes, with a lock icon when Pinnacle has moved the line but does not offer the market yet. Alerts go to your own Telegram bot with the rules you set. Pinnacle is on screen on the one plan, at €89 a month. The terminal does not keep odds history and does not list soft-book prices for you.
How to test Trademate in seven days
The general method, for any tool, is in how to test a value betting tool; applied to Trademate:
- Write your daily stake limit and bet count before you start, not after.
- Filter to the two or three bookmakers you actually use.
- Log every bet with the odds taken and the closing price.
- On day 6, compute average CLV and decide. Cancel if you are unsure.
- Note how long each session took. A tool you will not open is not worth any price.
FAQ
Is Trademate Sports a scam?
No. It is run by TM Sports Technologies AS in Norway, with named founders, a public address and published terms. Whether it suits you is a separate question from whether it is real.
How much is Trademate per month?
On 31/10/2026: 49 for Trademate US, 120 for Core and 400 for Pro, shown without a currency symbol. Backtesting and in-play value bets are listed as optional on US and Core.
Does Trademate include Pinnacle?
Only on Pro, which lists "Sharp Bookmakers (Pinnacle, Betfair, etc.)". US and Core list soft bookmakers.
Can I get a refund from Trademate?
The cancellation policy says subscription fees are non-refundable, with case-by-case exceptions. The 30-day value guarantee gives a second month free under conditions, not money back.
What is the best way to judge Trademate during the trial?
Closing line value. Over a few hundred bets, CLV tells you whether the prices it found were good; the result of a week mostly tells you about variance.
