RebelBetting and Trademate Sports are both soft-book value-bet finders that take a fair price from sharp bookmakers; RebelBetting is cheaper at the top end (€199 a month for Pro with sharps and exchanges, against 400 a month for Trademate Pro) and adds sure bets to every plan, while Trademate's strengths are its backtesting and trading-algorithm tools and a cheap US-only plan. RebelBetting's trial is 14 days and Trademate's is 7; neither asks for a card.
Disclosure: this is the Pinnacle Terminal blog. We sell a different kind of tool, a Pinnacle dropping-odds terminal, and we compare it with both at the end. Every fact about the two products comes from their own public pages, read on 30 October 2026: rebelbetting.com (/pricing, /valuebetting, /valuebetting/algorithm, Learning Hub FAQ) and tradematesports.com (/en home with plans, /en/value-guarantee, /en/cancellation). Prices change, so check both sites before you subscribe.
Definition. A value-bet finder (or +EV scanner) removes the margin from a sharp bookmaker's prices to estimate the fair probability, compares that fair price with every soft bookmaker it supports, and lists the bets where a soft book pays more than it should. RebelBetting and Trademate both work this way. Neither tries to predict results from team statistics.

Which is cheaper, RebelBetting or Trademate?
It depends on the level you need.
- Cheapest way in: Trademate US at 49 a month, if you only bet US sports at the 10 US bookmakers it covers.
- Full soft-book coverage: RebelBetting Starter at €99 (€69 billed yearly) against Trademate Core at 120.
- Sharp books and exchanges included: RebelBetting Pro at €199 (€139 billed yearly) against Trademate Pro at 400.
On 30/10/2026 RebelBetting also ran a temporary offer: Pro at €159 a month for three months, ending Sunday 1 November at 23:59 CET. Trademate's plan list shows numbers with no currency symbol, so check the billing currency for your country before you compare like for like.
How does each tool find value bets?
RebelBetting says its algorithm collects odds from 120+ bookmakers every minute, removes the sharp bookmakers' margin to get fair odds, "also takes betting bias and market efficiency into account", compares the result with every soft bookmaker and suggests a stake using the Kelly criterion. It re-checks the price before you bet and tells you if the value has gone.
Trademate says its algorithms "scan thousands of odds to find value", with real-time odds updates, alerts and an odds comparison tool on every plan. Its pages we read do not set out the devig method.
Both, then, depend on the same two things: the quality of the fair price and the speed at which the soft-book price is still there when you reach the bet slip. How the margin is removed matters more than most bettors think. With Pinnacle at 1.40 / 3.10 (an illustrative price), the fair price on the 3.10 side is 3.214 by the multiplicative method and 3.327 by the power method, so a soft-book 3.40 is worth +5.8% or +2.2% depending on the method. Try it in the devig calculator; the devig methods guide explains each one.
Sure bets, backtesting and sharps: the real differences
Sure bets. RebelBetting includes sure betting (arbitrage) with value betting on every plan, with middles on Pro. Trademate's plans list value bets only. If you want both strategies in one subscription, that settles it. Read what arbitrage betting is before you start: arbitrage tends to attract account limits faster than value betting.
Backtesting and trading tools. Trademate lists "Constructive Analysis & Big Data Backtesting", custom trading presets and triggers, and variance simulation. Testing a filter on past data before you use it live is useful, as long as you remember that a backtest is not a forecast. RebelBetting's pricing page lists no backtesting.
Sharp books as bettable venues. Both put sharp bookmakers and exchanges on the top plan only. The price gap there is the largest in the comparison: €199 against 400 a month.
Filters. Trademate lists unlimited customisable filters on every plan; RebelBetting gives 2 custom filters on Starter and 6 on Pro.
Trial, free-month offers and cancellation
RebelBetting's trial is 14 days, no card, limited to 50 bets a day and basic features. Trademate's is 7 days, no card. Both advertise an extra free month if your first paid month ends in a loss. Trademate's terms ask for at least 500 trades in the first 30 days, its recommended staking, supported bookmakers, evidence of your bets and a claim within 5 days; it applies to monthly plans. RebelBetting says "conditions apply".
Neither offer changes the arithmetic of a value bet. A month is a small sample, and results over a few hundred bets are mostly variance. The better test of either tool is whether the prices you took beat the fair closing price: see closing line value and check your bets with the CLV calculator.
Who should choose RebelBetting?
- You want value bets and sure bets in one subscription.
- You want sharp books and exchanges without paying 400 a month.
- You want a longer trial, 14 days rather than 7.
- You want a suggested stake on every bet and automatic settlement.
Who should choose Trademate?
- You bet US sports only at US bookmakers and want the cheapest entry plan.
- You want to backtest filters and build custom trading presets and triggers.
- You want unlimited filters on the main plan.
- You want in-play value bets as an add-on.

Is there a third option?
Both tools start from the soft bookmaker: they show you the price that is too long. A dropping-odds terminal starts from the sharp book: it shows you the move that made the soft price wrong. The two overlap; a scanner will often flag the same bet that a Pinnacle drop points to. The difference is what you see.
A real example from Pinnacle Terminal on 28 October 2026, about 09:37 Madrid time (CET). ITF Women Poitiers, first round, Leonard v Hesse, games handicap Leonard −4:
- Pinnacle's price fell from 2.00 to 1.633, an 18.35% drop, and Pinnacle raised the limit as it fell. The terminal labelled it Limit-backed (it had first been a Downtrend).
- The fair price, with the margin removed by the Power method, was 1.734.
- Suppose a slower bookmaker still showed 1.90 (illustrative, not a recorded price): EV = 1.90 ÷ 1.734 − 1 ≈ +9.6%. At 1.70 it would be negative.
A scanner would show that bet as a card: bookmaker, 1.90, about +9.6%, stake. A terminal shows the cause: a fall on a rising limit, which is the move Pinnacle trusts most. Size any move with the odds drop calculator and check the edge with the EV calculator. Each scanner on its own is compared with our approach in RebelBetting alternative and Trademate alternative; the wider field is in best value betting software 2026.
How Pinnacle Terminal handles this
Pinnacle Terminal is not a soft-book scanner. It streams Pinnacle's prices and limits in real time; it does not take bets and is not affiliated with Pinnacle. Every pre-match move is graded 0–10 and labelled Big move (the odds drop and Pinnacle closes the market), Sharp drop (roughly 20% or more from the recent high), Limit-backed (the odds drop and Pinnacle raises the limit), Downtrend, Rebound or Standard, measured over a 2-minute window by default that you can change. Live in-play football drops are shown live and filtered, not graded. The Basketball lines tab alerts when a main spread or total moves 3+ points in under 2 minutes, with a lock icon when the market is not on offer yet. Alerts go to your own Telegram bot with your own filters, fair prices use Power devig by default, and the CLV tracker scores every logged bet against the close. €89 a month or €229 a quarter. See the live view on Pinnacle dropping odds.
Is either worth the fee?
Only if the edge on the bets you can actually place covers it. Monthly fee ÷ average edge = turnover needed to break even. At a 3% average edge: RebelBetting Starter €99 needs about €3,300 a month, Pro €199 about €6,630; Trademate Core 120 needs about 4,000, Pro 400 about 13,330 (in its billing currency). These are arithmetic, not forecasts.
