ValueBetFactory Review 2026: Pricing, Pros and Cons

ValueBetFactory review, checked 30/10/2026: plans from €77, dropping odds vs +EV scanner, sharp references, devig method, Telegram alerts, pros and cons.

ValueBetFactory (VBF) is a Telegram-first alert service with two engines: a Pinnacle dropping-odds feed (€77 a month) and a +EV scanner that compares soft bookmakers with sharp references (€137), or both for €177; it suits bettors who want alerts pushed to their phone with direct links to supported bookmakers, and it suits less well anyone who wants each Pinnacle move explained, graded or filtered by its limit. Every plan has a 7-day free trial, and yearly billing cuts the monthly price by about 20%.

Disclosure: this is the Pinnacle Terminal blog, and we sell a competing product. Every fact about VBF below comes from its public pages (home, /pricing, /dropping-odds, /value-bet-scanner, /community-statistics, two tutorials, its no-vig method article and its sitemap), read on 30 October 2026. Prices and features change, so check their site before you subscribe. If you want a switch rather than a verdict, the one-to-one page is ValueBetFactory alternative; the wider field is in best value betting software 2026.

Definition. ValueBetFactory is a value-betting service sold by subscription. Its dropping-odds engine alerts you when Pinnacle's price falls; its +EV scanner lists soft-bookmaker prices that are longer than a fair price taken from sharp books. Alerts arrive in Telegram and in a web "Bet Center" that tracks expected value and closing line value (CLV) for the bets you log.

What is ValueBetFactory?

VBF sells alerts, not a screen of the market. You set filters, and the service sends the bets that pass them. On 30/10/2026 its site described:

  • A dropping-odds engine. "Get instant alerts when Pinnacle odds drop", with "dropping odds on 5 sharp books" on the plan list. Its FAQ defines a drop as a sudden fall of "8%+" and says it detects Pinnacle movements "in under 5 seconds".
  • A +EV scanner. It "monitors 2500 competitions in real time" and "compares soft bookmaker odds against Pinnacle and Betfair Exchange". The plan list says "up to 9 sharp references" and "30+ bookmakers".
  • Filters. Bookmaker, sport, market, minimum EV, minimum odds and league tier, per its scanner page. Its settings tutorial (5 October 2026) adds that you adjust "your Pinnacle drop %".
  • Direct links to the event at supported bookmakers.
  • A Bet Center that shows current EV and CLV for logged bets, plus a public community statistics page with an all-time platform overview and a leaderboard by ROI, CLV and results.
  • Content. Its sitemap listed 325 URLs: 204 education articles, 21 calculator pages and 54 French or Spanish translations.

Dropping odds or +EV scanner: which VBF engine do you need?

The two engines answer different questions.

The dropping-odds engine asks: what did Pinnacle just learn? Pinnacle takes large bets and runs a low margin, so when its price falls the market has usually learned something. Slower bookmakers often still show the old price. You then find that price yourself ("find value manually on any bookmaker", in VBF's words) or follow a direct link.

The +EV scanner asks: which soft price is too long right now? It needs every bookmaker's price, so it is only as wide as its bookmaker list, but it finds value whether or not anything has moved.

If your bookmakers are among VBF's supported books, the scanner does more of the work. If they are not, the dropping-odds plan is the useful one, because the signal comes from Pinnacle and the check at your own book is manual. Our guide to dropping odds covers that workflow, and the positive EV betting guide covers the scanner side.

How does VBF calculate fair odds?

VBF explains its method in a 2024 article, "How Do We Calculate No-Vig Fair Odds" (26 September 2024). It uses five devig methods (Equal Margin, Margin Proportional to Odds, Shin, Odds Ratio and Logarithmic) on Pinnacle and Betfair Exchange prices, and it "always display[s] the highest no-vig fair odd calculated across these methods".

That is a conservative choice, and a sensible one. A higher fair price means a smaller edge on any soft-book price you compare with it. An illustrative two-way market shows how much the method matters:

  • Pinnacle prices 1.40 / 3.10 (margin about 3.7%).
  • Fair price of the 3.10 side: 3.214 multiplicative, 3.288 additive or Shin, 3.291 odds ratio, 3.327 power.
  • A soft book offers 3.40. Edge: +5.8% against the multiplicative price, +2.2% against the power price.

Same bet, edge from about 2% to about 6%, depending only on how the margin is removed. Check it yourself with the devig calculator and the EV calculator; the devig methods guide explains each method.

How do ValueBetFactory alerts work?

You set filters in the web app and connect Telegram (VBF has a tutorial for this). Alerts then arrive in Telegram and as mobile or desktop notifications, with a direct link where the bookmaker is supported. The Bet Center records the bets you log, with EV at the time and CLV against the close.

What the pages we read do not describe: a classification of the move (is this a one-off drop, a slow drift, a correction back towards the opener?), the Pinnacle limit at the time of the move, or whether the market was locked. VBF's dropping-odds page says it flags "only movements backed by real money" without saying how that is measured. If those details matter to you, ask in the trial.

What ValueBetFactory does well

  • Speed to the bet slip. Telegram push plus direct links is the shortest path from alert to bet.
  • A clear product split. Dropping odds and +EV are different signals, and VBF sells and explains them separately.
  • A published devig method, and a conservative one.
  • Tracking built in. EV and CLV on logged bets is the right way to judge any alert service.
  • Education. 204 articles and 21 calculator pages make it a useful reference even without a subscription.

Where ValueBetFactory falls short

  • Both engines cost €177 a month. Most bettors who want dropping odds and +EV will compare that with single-plan tools.
  • Alerts, not context. You see that a price dropped by more than your threshold; you do not see a label, a grade or the limit behind it.
  • Performance claims. The home and dropping-odds pages headline ROI, CLV and earnings figures. We cannot verify them and do not repeat them here. Judge any tool on your own CLV over a few hundred bets.
  • No refunds. Cancel before the renewal date if the trial does not convince you.

A worked example: why the type of move matters

From Pinnacle Terminal on 28 October 2026, Madrid time (CET). ITF Men Norman, first round, Sean Daryabeigi v Luciano Emanuel Ambrogi, handicap Daryabeigi −1.5.

  • From 07:36 the price fell from 3.38 to 2.84 and the market locked. The terminal labelled it Big move.
  • By 09:37 the side panel read "Down 45% from its 07:36 high (41 changes) · limit $50 → $150". The limit rose only after the price had settled.
  • At 09:37:37 the line was 2.24, with a fair price of 2.437, on a $150 limit.

A threshold alert at 8% would have fired early in that fall, and fired again on later steps. That is useful: you would have known fast. What it would not tell you is that the fall happened on a $50 limit and that Pinnacle locked the market, then raised the limit once it was comfortable with the new number. That changes how much weight you give the move. Any bookmaker paying more than 2.437 at 09:37 was still above Pinnacle's fair line; anything below it was not value. The full case is in Pinnacle limits explained, and you can run any pair of prices through the odds drop calculator.

Who should choose ValueBetFactory?

  • You want a soft-book +EV scanner and your bookmakers are among the 30+ it supports.
  • You want alerts with direct links so you can bet within seconds on your phone.
  • You want Betfair Exchange and other sharp books as references next to Pinnacle.
  • You only want dropping-odds alerts at the lowest monthly price and do not need grades.

Who should look elsewhere?

  • You want to see why a price moved, not only that it did: size, speed, limit and lock.
  • You bet basketball main lines and want point-jump alerts on spreads and totals.
  • You bet player props or esports. VBF's pages we read do not describe them; Pinnacle Terminal covers player props and CS2, LoL, Dota and Valorant.
  • You want one plan rather than choosing between engines.

Is ValueBetFactory worth it?

Only if the edge on the bets you can actually place covers the fee. The arithmetic is simple: monthly fee ÷ average edge = turnover needed to break even. At an average edge of 3%, the €77 plan needs about €2,570 of monthly turnover, the €137 plan about €4,570 and the €177 bundle about €5,900. The same sum applies to us: about €2,970 a month at 3% covers €89. These are arithmetic, not forecasts. Log every trial bet and compare it with the fair close in the CLV calculator.

How Pinnacle Terminal handles this

Pinnacle Terminal streams Pinnacle's prices and limits in real time. It does not take bets and is not affiliated with Pinnacle. Every pre-match move is graded 0–10 and labelled (a Sharp drop is a fall of roughly 20% or more from the recent high; a Rebound is a price returning towards the opener), measured over a 2-minute window by default that you can change. Live in-play football drops are shown live and filtered, not graded. The Basketball lines tab alerts when a main spread or total moves 3+ points in under 2 minutes, with a lock icon when Pinnacle has moved the line but is not offering the market yet. Each user's Telegram bot sends only what their own filters allow. The terminal does not keep a historical line archive. See the live view on Pinnacle dropping odds.

How to test ValueBetFactory fairly

  1. Start the 7-day trial in a normal betting week.
  2. Set filters to the bookmakers you actually hold and the sports you actually bet.
  3. Count the alerts you could still bet at the alerted price when you reached the bet slip.
  4. Log every bet in a tracker with the price you got.
  5. After seven days, compare those prices with the fair closing prices. Positive CLV over a decent sample is the signal; a week of results is noise.

FAQ

Is ValueBetFactory legit?

It is a real subscription service with public prices, a published devig method, a tracker and a public statistics page. Whether it suits you depends on your bookmakers and how fast you can act, which the 7-day trial will show.

How much does ValueBetFactory cost?

On 30/10/2026: €77 a month for Dropping Odds, €137 for the +EV Scanner and €177 for both, or €62, €109 and €142 a month billed yearly.

Does ValueBetFactory have a free trial?

Yes. Every plan had a 7-day free trial on 30/10/2026, with cancel-anytime terms and no refunds after a paid cycle starts.

What is the difference between VBF's dropping odds and +EV scanner?

Dropping odds alerts you when Pinnacle's price falls; you find the old price at your bookmaker. The +EV scanner compares soft-book prices with a fair price from sharp references and lists the ones that are too long, whether or not anything moved.

Is ValueBetFactory better than Pinnacle Terminal?

They solve different parts of the job. VBF is stronger if you want a soft-book scanner and direct links. Pinnacle Terminal is built for reading Pinnacle's moves: every pre-match move graded 0–10, limits on every line, live in-play football drops, basketball line jumps and a per-user Telegram bot.
