A dropping odds Telegram channel is worth following only if it tells you which sharp bookmaker moved, from what price to what price, over what time window, and reaches you before your own bookmaker copies the move. Most public channels repost a free tracker with one fixed threshold, so everyone in the channel gets the same alert at the same moment. A private bot with your own filters is a different product, even though both arrive in Telegram.
This page sorts the channels you will find into four types, shows what real ones posted on 2 November 2026, and gives you a seven-day check to run on any of them before you pay for one or trust one.
Disclosure: this is the Pinnacle Terminal blog. Pinnacle Terminal sends alerts to a private Telegram bot, so it is one of the options described here. Facts about other channels and services come from their own public pages, read on 2 November 2026. Subscriber counts change daily.
Definition. A dropping odds Telegram channel is a Telegram channel or bot that posts a message when a bookmaker shortens a price by more than a set amount. The useful ones watch a sharp bookmaker such as Pinnacle, because a drop there often means informed money or news. A channel that sells "tips" under a dropping-odds name is a tipster, not an odds alert.
What types of dropping odds Telegram channels are there?
Searching Telegram for "dropping odds" returns four kinds of thing that look alike in the chat list:
- Free public channels that repost a tracker. A bot reads a public dropping-odds page and posts anything past one threshold. Same message for every subscriber.
- Paid pre-configured channels. A service runs several channels, each with fixed settings (sport, drop size, time window, kick-off window). You buy access to the one that fits.
- Private bots with your own rules. You set the filters; the bot sends only what matches, to you alone. OddAlerts and Pinnacle Terminal work this way; OddsNotifier sells preset feeds on its Starter plan and customisable feeds from Pro (£60 a month on quarterly billing, oddsnotifier.io, 02/11/2026).
- Tipster channels using the words "dropping odds". They post selections, often with screenshots of winning slips and a paid VIP tier. They are not measuring a market; they are selling selections.
The first three can be honest tools. They differ in source, speed and how much control you have. The fourth is a different business and should be judged as one.
What do real dropping odds channels post?
Five examples, from their public pages on 2 November 2026:
| Channel or service | Type | Source it names | Rule stated on its page | Subscribers (02/11/2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| t.me/dropping_odds_alert | Free public | OddsPortal dropping odds page | Drop of 30% or more, odds up to 2.3 | 968 |
| t.me/dropping_odds_alert_1h | Free public | OddsPortal dropping odds page | Drop of 20% or more, odds up to 2.3, about 1.5 hours to kick-off | 812 |
| t.me/dropnotifyfree | Free public | "Asian bet markets" | Live and pre-game drops on overs | 2,863 |
| Dombetting channels | Paid, pre-configured | Pinnacle | Example channel #204: drop of 19% in 3 minutes, odds 1.2–3.0, up to 24 hours before the start | Not stated |
| OddAlerts (@OddAlertsBot) | Private bot, your rules | Pinnacle (football) | Your minimum drop, markets, odds range, leagues and kick-off window; "usually within a minute of the move" | Not applicable |
Dombetting lists 27 fixed channels across all sports, football, esports and basketball, with minimum drops from 16% to 30% and time windows of 3 or 10 minutes. It also sells a custom private channel that its admin configures, "typically within 24 hours", with one free configuration change a month, and a free demo channel that copies #204 with "limited content". OddAlerts includes its Pinnacle alerts in OddAlerts Pro at £19.99 a month, with a 24-hour Day Pass at £2.99. For a public channel tied to one product, the Pinnspy channel (t.me/pinnspy) had 3,578 subscribers on 2 November 2026; we compare it in Pinnspy alternative.
Notice what the free channels state: a percentage and an odds cap. They do not say over what time window the drop is measured, how often the source page refreshes, or whether the market had a meaningful limit. That missing information is most of the difference between an alert you can bet and one you can only read.
Are dropping odds Telegram channels legit?
Many are legitimate in the narrow sense: the bot really does post price drops from a real source. Whether one is useful is a separate question, and three warning signs tell you most of what you need:
- It claims to know before the drop. A drop alert reports a move that has already happened at the sharp book. A channel that says it warns you before the odds fall is describing a prediction, which is a tip.
- It shows results instead of prices. Screenshots of winning slips say nothing about the price you could have taken. A drop channel should show the old price, the new price and the time.
- It names no source. "Smart money" is not a source. Pinnacle, an Asian book or a public tracker is.
None of this needs any judgement about the people running the channel. You can check all three from the channel description and a day of its posts.
How fast is a dropping odds alert on Telegram?
An alert reaches you through a chain, and each link adds time:
- The sharp bookmaker changes its price.
- The source detects it. A public tracker refreshes on its own cycle; a streamed feed sees it almost at once.
- The bot decides the drop has passed its threshold. If the drop is measured over 3 or 10 minutes, a fast fall is posted when it crosses the line, a slow fall only if it is big enough inside the window.
- Telegram delivers the message, which adds Telegram's own delivery time.
- You read it, open your bookmaker and find the market.
A channel that reposts a public web page inherits that page's refresh cycle in step 2. That is why two channels quoting the same drop can arrive minutes apart. You cannot see this from inside Telegram, but you can test it: note the time in the message and compare it with the time your bookmaker's price changed.
Step 5 is usually the slowest link, and the one you control. Our guide to acting on dropping odds alerts covers why many alerts are gone by the time you place the bet.
Why does a fixed threshold matter?
A percentage drop is not the same size in every price range. A 20% drop from 3.00 to 2.40 moves the implied probability from 33.3% to 41.7%, about 8.3 points. A 20% drop from 1.50 to 1.20 moves it from 66.7% to 83.3%, about 16.7 points. A channel that posts every 20% drop is treating very different moves as equal, and the odds cap many channels use (2.3 or 3.0) is a partial fix for that. Our odds drop calculator shows both the percentage and the probability change for any pair of prices.
A threshold also says nothing about what happens next. On 28 October 2026 Pinnacle Terminal recorded the over 172.5 points in BK Opava v TBB Trier (FIBA Europe Cup) falling from 2.22 to 1.806, an 18.65% drop, shortly after 09:30 Madrid time, with a $250 maximum market limit that never moved. Minutes later the price was back at 2.01 and the terminal had relabelled it from Downtrend to Rebound. A channel posting every drop of 16–18% inside its window would have sent this. A 20% or 30% channel would not. Neither would have told you the limit stayed flat or that half of the move came back, which is the part you needed. More on this pattern in odds that bounce back after a drop.
Shared channel or private bot: what is the difference?
| Shared channel | Private bot with your rules | |
|---|---|---|
| Who gets the alert | Every subscriber, at once | Only you |
| Filters | Fixed by the channel owner | Set and changed by you |
| Sports and leagues | Whatever the channel covers | Only the ones your bookmaker prices |
| Message after posting | Usually static | Some tools update the price inside the message |
| Muting | Mute the whole channel | Mute one match |
| Cost | Free or a flat fee per channel | Usually part of a paid tool |
The first row matters for a practical reason. When a channel with hundreds of subscribers posts a drop, many of them may try to take the same stale price at the same few bookmakers within the same minute. A private bot does not make a drop worth more, but it does not hand the same message to a crowd either. The fourth row matters on a phone: a message that keeps updating saves you from betting on a price that has already moved again.
How to check a dropping odds channel in seven days
- Write down its rule. Source, drop size, time window, odds range, kick-off window. If the channel does not state them, note that.
- Choose one bookmaker you actually use. An alert is only worth something if that bookmaker offers the market.
- For every alert, record four things: the time in the message, the sharp price after the drop, your bookmaker's price when you checked, and whether that price was still above the sharp book's fair price. The devig calculator gives you the fair price from both sides of the market.
- Count dead alerts. Markets your book does not offer, prices already copied, drops that rebounded.
- Score the bets you would have taken on closing line value, not on results. Seven days of results is noise; seven days of CLV is a signal. The CLV calculator does it per bet.
If more than half the alerts are dead for your bookmaker, the channel's settings do not fit you, however good its source is. The same test works for paid tools; the full version is in how to test a value betting tool.
How Pinnacle Terminal handles this
Pinnacle Terminal is a live screen of Pinnacle's prices and limits with a private Telegram bot for each user, not a shared channel. You choose the sport, league, market, odds range, drop size and move type, and the bot sends only what passes. Every pre-match move is graded 0–10 and labelled (Big move, Sharp drop, Limit-backed, Downtrend, Rebound, Standard), so the Opava-type fall arrives marked as what it is. Drops are measured over a 2-minute window by default, and you can change it. The fair price inside the message keeps updating (Power devig by default), the message marks when Pinnacle closes the line or the event starts, and you can log the bet you actually got or mute the match from the alert. Live in-play drops cover football only and are filtered by goal and score context, not graded. The Basketball lines tab alerts when a main spread or total moves 3 or more points in under 2 minutes, with a lock icon when Pinnacle has moved the line but does not offer the market yet. It does not keep a line history and it does not take bets. See Telegram alerts for the message itself and Pinnacle dropping odds for the screen.
FAQ
Are there free dropping odds Telegram channels?
Yes. On 2 November 2026 t.me/dropping_odds_alert (968 subscribers) and t.me/dropping_odds_alert_1h (812) reposted OddsPortal's dropping odds page with thresholds of 30% and 20%, and Dombetting ran a free demo channel with limited content. Free channels share one fixed rule with every subscriber.
Is there a Pinnacle dropping odds Telegram channel?
Several third-party services post Pinnacle drops to Telegram: Dombetting's channels, OddAlerts' @OddAlertsBot for football, OddsNotifier, and Pinnacle Terminal's private bot. None of them is run by Pinnacle; Pinnacle Terminal is not affiliated with Pinnacle either.
Why has the price already changed at my bookmaker when the alert arrives?
Because the gap between a sharp drop and a slower bookmaker often closes within minutes, and the alert reaches you after detection, posting, Telegram delivery and the time it takes you to find the market. Channels that repost a web page also wait for its refresh.
Can I follow in-play dropping odds on Telegram?
Some channels post live drops, such as t.me/dropnotifyfree for overs. In-play prices move with every goal and every minute, so an unfiltered live feed is mostly noise. Pinnacle Terminal shows live in-play football drops filtered by goal and score context; they are not graded.
Is a dropping odds channel the same as a tipster?
No. A drop alert reports a price change that already happened at a named bookmaker. A tipster sells a selection. If a channel posts selections, winning-slip screenshots and a paid VIP tier, judge it as a tipster.
