Leave BTFOdds only if the scanners you use most are Pinnacle's own price and limit. Its dropping-odds lists, Betfair money way, Asian money way, in-play odds, historical odds and bundled tips sit on one dashboard, with a Free EU plan at €0.00 a month and paid plans from €39 a month. When Pinnacle's own price and limit are what you bet on, Pinnacle Terminal (€89 a month) is narrower and deeper: a 0–10 grade and a label on every pre-match move in 13 sports, in-play football drops as they happen, a Basketball lines tab and a private Telegram bot.
BTFOdds is a multi-tool odds site: dropping odds, money-way scans, a bookmaker comparison and tip feeds. Pinnacle Terminal is a single screen of Pinnacle prices and limits that tells you what kind of move each one is. The comparison below sticks to what btfodds.com says, with the date we read it, and to our own product facts.
Disclosure: this is the Pinnacle Terminal blog. Facts about BTFOdds come from btfodds.com (home page title, /pricing, the Popular Tools and Odds Tools menus, /help/en, /contact, /webmasters and the site footer), all read on 5 November 2026. Why look for a BTFOdds alternative?
BTFOdds covers a lot of ground for a free tier and a €39 month. People who bet mainly on Pinnacle moves look elsewhere for four reasons, all from its own pages:
- The dropping-odds tools are lists with a league cap. They do not describe a grade for each move, or labels for what Pinnacle did with the price and the limit before the start.
- Money way is not the same signal as a sharp price. Matched volume on an exchange shows where money traded, not who traded it or at what fair price. It is a different question from “did Pinnacle move?” We compared the two on nine matches in Betfair money way explained.
- Tips and sure bets sit next to the scanners. Paid plans add Early / Late / VIP Asian Tips, Bet Traps, Value Bets and Sure Bets. Pinnacle Terminal does not sell picks.
- No fair price described. The pages we read do not mention a devig method or a no-vig price next to each line.

When is BTFOdds the better choice?
- You read Betfair money way or Asian money way. Volume by selection, with a 50-league free cap, is a feature we do not offer.
- You want dropping odds, a bookmaker comparison and historical odds in one login. Those tools are on the same dashboard.
- You want a €0 starting point. The Free EU plan includes odds presentation and the 50-league scanners.
- You want tips and sure bets bundled with the scanners. Paid plans add Early / Late / VIP Asian Tips, Bet Traps, Value Bets and Sure Bets, plus BMArena and Pro Tipsters credits.
When is Pinnacle Terminal the better choice?
- You want each Pinnacle move graded, not only listed. Every pre-match move gets a 0–10 grade and a label: Big move (the odds dropped and Pinnacle closed the market), Sharp drop (about 20% or more below the recent high), Limit-backed (the odds dropped and Pinnacle raised its maximum market limit, a very confident move), Downtrend, Rebound (the odds returning towards the opener) and Standard. See understanding move grades.
- You want a fair price next to the move. Each line shows Pinnacle's no-vig price, Power devig by default; see devig methods.
- You bet live football drops. Live in-play drops are shown as they happen, filtered by goal and score context. They are not graded.
- You bet basketball lines. The Basketball lines tab catches 3-point jumps in a main spread or total in under 2 minutes, with a lock icon when Pinnacle has moved the line but does not offer the market yet.
- You want your rules in your own bot. Each user gets a private Telegram bot with their own filters; see Telegram alerts.
Money way or Pinnacle drop: which signal is which?
Money way counts money that has been matched on an exchange. A large share on one selection says the selection traded a lot; it does not say the price was wrong before, or who was on the other side. Matched volume is also not available liquidity at the current price; that is Betfair liquidity. A Pinnacle drop is a price decision by a bookmaker that takes large bets from winning players: when Pinnacle shortens a price and raises the limit at the same time, it is telling you it is comfortable taking more money at the new, lower number. The two can agree. When they do not, the Pinnacle price is the one you can compare directly with your bookmaker's price. More on reading both in how to track sharp money and steam moves. Another money-way scanner is compared in KeyOdds alternative.
A real example: blocks and a rising limit
From Pinnacle Terminal on 28 October 2026, Madrid time (CET). ITF Men Norman, first round, Sean Daryabeigi v Luciano Emanuel Ambrogi, handicap Daryabeigi −1.5.
- From 07:36 the price fell from 3.38 to 2.84 and Pinnacle locked the market. The terminal labelled it Big move.
- By 09:37 the side panel read "Down 45% from its 07:36 high (41 changes) · limit $50 → $150".
- At 09:37:37 the line was 2.24, with a fair price of 2.437, on a $150 limit.
A dropping-odds list tells you the price shortened. The label puts that next to the size of the fall and the limit change on one line: the price dropped, Pinnacle stopped taking bets during the fall, and it tripled the limit only once it was comfortable with the new number. Any bookmaker paying more than 2.437 at 09:37 was above Pinnacle's fair line: at 2.60, for example (an illustrative price, not one we recorded), 2.60 ÷ 2.437 − 1 ≈ +6.7% on paper. Whether you bet a $150-limit market is your call; see low-limit odds moves, Pinnacle limits explained and Pinnacle closed markets. Check any price with the odds drop calculator and the EV calculator.
Is BTFOdds worth it?
For someone who reads exchange volume or wants a free 50-league dropping-odds list, the Free EU plan is a cheap way to find out. For Pinnacle drops alone, compare the fee with your turnover. At an average edge of 3%, about €1,300 a month of turnover covers the BTFOdds 1-month plan (39 ÷ 0.03) and about €2,970 covers Pinnacle Terminal (89 ÷ 0.03). These are arithmetic, not forecasts. The better test is which tool leaves you with more bets you can place above the fair price at your bookmakers; measure that with closing line value. Other drop tools are compared in best dropping odds software.
How Pinnacle Terminal handles this
BTFOdds lists dropping odds and money way across a league cap; Pinnacle Terminal reads one book, Pinnacle, in more depth. Every pre-match move is labelled and graded 0–10: a block during a fall is a Big move, a raised maximum market limit during a fall is Limit-backed, and a fall of about 20% or more from the recent high is a Sharp drop; Downtrend, Rebound (back towards the opener) and Standard cover the rest. The window is 2 minutes by default and adjustable. Live in-play football drops are shown and filtered, without a grade; the Basketball lines tab flags 3+ point moves on a main spread or total in under 2 minutes, with a lock icon when Pinnacle has moved but not reopened the market. Telegram alerts follow each user's own filters, prices come with a fair value (Power devig by default), and the CLV tracker scores logged bets. There is no Betfair money way, no multi-bookmaker scanner, no historical odds archive and no tip feed; it does not take bets and is not affiliated with Pinnacle. Details on Pinnacle dropping odds.
