Free value betting tools are three different products under one search: a calculator that grades one price you already have, a delayed scanner that lists edges after a wait, and a time-limited trial of a live feed. Calculators stay free and need no account. Live +EV lists and dropping-odds feeds are almost always delayed, capped, or on a trial clock. This page names which is which, with prices and limits read on 5 November 2026.
It is not a list of “best” software, and it is not a list of free dropping odds sites (those track price falls, not whether a price is above fair). Paid scanners and terminals sit on best value betting software 2026.
Definition. A free value betting tool is software that helps you compare a bookmaker price with a fair (no-vig) price at no subscription cost. That can be a calculator you type into, a scanner or terminal running on a delay or an edge cap, or a trial of a paid feed. Expected value is still
odds ÷ fair odds − 1. A positive number is a candidate, not a result.
What kinds of free value betting tools exist?
Three jobs. Mixing them up is how people either pay for a feed they could have checked by hand, or trust a 45-minute-old list as if it were live.
| Job | What is free | What you still do by hand | Typical “free” |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grade one price | Devig, EV, Kelly, CLV, converter | Find the two prices | Forever, no account |
| Watch a board | A delayed or capped +EV / drop list | Act before the book moves | Delay (15–45 min) and/or an edge cap |
| Run a live feed | A trial of the paid product | Filter, stake, log CLV | 7–14 days, card or no card |
A calculator does not watch markets. A delayed scanner watches them too late for most short-lived edges. A trial is the live product with a clock. What is a value bet is the formula; this page is what you can run it on without paying.
Free calculators: grade a price you already have
You bring both sides. The tool returns the math. That is enough to learn vig, EV and fractional Kelly, and to check a single card before you click. It is not enough when the edge lives for seconds across a full board.
On 05/11/2026, pinnacleterminal.io/tools listed 11 calculators, no login, running in the browser:
- Devig calculator — multiplicative, additive, Power (the terminal default), Shin, and a four-method worst case
- EV calculator — bookmaker odds against a fair price
- Kelly calculator — full, half or quarter Kelly
- CLV calculator — raw and no-vig closing line value
- Odds converter — decimal, fractional, American, Asian, implied probability
- Odds drop calculator — drop in percent and in probability points
- Margin calculator — overround on up to four books
- Arbitrage calculator — two- or three-way stake split (variance stays; this is not a locked return)
- Variance simulator — percentiles and drawdowns for a typed edge
- Poisson calculator — scorelines from two expected-goals figures
- Hedge calculator — equalise a two-way or size a hedge that returns the stake
EV Kings hosts a smaller free suite with no sign-up (evkings.io/betting-tools/, read 05/11/2026): EV, Kelly, no-vig, parlay, odds converter and a profit calculator. PhotonOdds publishes de-vig, EV, Kelly and arbitrage calculators (photonodds.com, read 31/10/2026 and pricing re-checked 05/11/2026). OddsHub publishes a CLV calculator next to its free dropping-odds tracker (www.oddshub.io/odds-terminal, 05/11/2026).
Use them in that order on one market: strip the margin → EV → stake. The devig methods guide is the method page; Power is the default in Pinnacle Terminal.
Delayed scanners: the same math, after a wait
A value-bet scanner repeats the calculator comparison across live markets. Free tiers almost always add a delay, an edge cap, or both. The delay is the product: a 15-minute-old +EV flag is a history of a price, not a price you can still take.
Read on 05/11/2026:
| Tool | What is free | Delay / cap | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| OddsHub Terminal | Drops feed, charts, value bets, full bet tracker with CLV | 15 minutes behind; value bets up to 3% edge. Paid: Standard $59/mo ($44/mo yearly), Pro $129/mo ($96/mo yearly). 7-day Pro trial, card required | www.oddshub.io/odds-terminal |
| PhotonOdds | EV+ and dropping-odds signals, no card, no trial clock | ~45 minutes behind paid; EV+ over 3% and drops over 5% held back; last 24 hours only; no arbitrage or middles. Paid from €24/mo (Dropping Odds) to €69/mo (All-Access) | photonodds.com/pricing |
| EV Kings | Public calculators only. The live feed is not free-forever | Summer Pass: 14 days, no card, then €49/mo for 2 months → €99/mo; annual €69/mo billed €828 | evkings.io/blog/free-ev-betting-tools and /betting-tools/ |
| Pinnacle Terminal | The 11 calculators above | The live terminal is not free-forever: 7-day trial, card required, nothing charged before day 8, then €89/month or €229/quarter | pinnacleterminal.io/tools and /pricing |
OddsHub’s own FAQ on that page (05/11/2026) says the free plan is “the drops feed, charts and value bets up to 3% edge, running 15 minutes behind the live feed”. PhotonOdds’ pricing FAQ (05/11/2026) says the same 45-minute delay, the 3% / 5% ceilings, the 24-hour window, and that “a delayed arbitrage is already gone”.
That last line is the rule for every delayed scanner: if the product holds back the strongest signals or waits a quarter of an hour, you are practising the workflow, not taking the same bets as paying users.
A separate free-dropping-odds list (OddsHub’s public tracker, Oddspedia, and others) is on free dropping odds sites. Those pages measure a fall from an opener or an average, not EV against a fair Pinnacle price.
A real example: what a calculator can (and cannot) do
From Pinnacle Terminal on 28 October 2026, about 09:37 Madrid time (CET). ITF Women Poitiers, Leonard v Hesse, games handicap Leonard −3.5.
- Pinnacle’s price fell from 1.826 to 1.543 (−15.5%), labelled Limit-backed (the drop came with a higher Pinnacle maximum market limit).
- Fair price after Power devig: 1.631 (about 61.3%).
Any bookmaker still offering more than 1.631 on that line was a value bet against that estimate. The EV calculator on an illustrative 1.75 (not a recorded quote) gives 1.75 ÷ 1.631 − 1 = +7.3%. Quarter Kelly on a €1,000 bankroll is about €24 on the Kelly calculator.
What the calculator does not do: notice that Pinnacle moved, tell you the limit rose, or watch whether 1.75 is still up at your book. That is the scanner/terminal job. The same row as a delayed free feed would arrive after the book had time to follow.
Where free stops
Free tools fail in four places, all from the pages above rather than from a ranking:
- Speed. OddsHub’s free terminal is 15 minutes behind; PhotonOdds’ free board is about 45. Pinnacle drops that matter are often over in a two-minute window (the terminal default, adjustable).
- The strongest flags are paid. PhotonOdds holds back EV+ over 3% and drops over 5% on free. OddsHub free caps value bets at 3% edge.
- No grade on the move. A delayed +EV list does not say whether Pinnacle closed the market (Big move), raised its maximum market limit (Limit-backed), or bounced toward the opener (Rebound). In-play football drops, where they exist, are filtered, not graded.
- No record unless you build one. OddsHub includes a CLV tracker on free. Most calculators do not log anything; they run in the browser and store nothing. Without closing line value you will judge a weekend of results, which is mostly luck. How to test a value betting tool is the trial plan when you do move to a live feed.
US-facing free +EV screens (Pick The Odds, Crazy Ninja Odds, Pikkit and others) sit on other round-ups. This page stays on Pinnacle-referenced tools a European value bettor can actually open, with dates.
How Pinnacle Terminal handles this
The calculators stay free. The product behind them is a real-time Pinnacle screen, not a multi-book scanner: every pre-match move graded 0–10 and labelled (Big move, Sharp drop of about 20% or more from the recent high, Limit-backed, Downtrend, Rebound, Standard), live in-play football drops shown and filtered but not graded, a Basketball lines tab for a 3+ point move in under two minutes, a private Telegram bot, a fair price (Power by default) on each line, and automatic CLV on the tracker. It does not take bets and is not affiliated with Pinnacle. See Pinnacle dropping odds. One-to-one pages: OddsHub alternative, PhotonOdds alternative, EV Kings alternative.
FAQ
Are there really free value betting tools?
Yes, for the calculator layer. Pinnacle Terminal’s 11 calculators, EV Kings’ six, PhotonOdds’ four and OddsHub’s CLV calculator were free with no login or with a free account on 05/11/2026. Live +EV lists at no cost are delayed or capped.
What is the best free EV betting tool?
There is no single best one. For grading a price you already have, a no-login devig calculator plus the EV calculator is enough. For watching a board without paying, OddsHub’s free terminal (15 min, 3% cap) and PhotonOdds’ free board (45 min, 3%/5% ceilings) are the dated options above. Neither is the live paid feed.
Is a delayed +EV scanner useful?
As a way to learn the layout and to see what a feed looks like, yes. As a way to take the same bets as paying users, no: the pages above say the strongest signals and the live clock are paid. A delay of 15–45 minutes is longer than most Pinnacle drops stay unmatched at a soft book.
Do I need software to value bet?
No. You can take Pinnacle’s price, remove the margin, and compare it with your book by hand. Software only removes the comparison you cannot hold across a full board. The method is in positive EV betting.
When is a paid tool worth it?
When the live feed, at the bookmakers you can use, produces enough bets you can actually place that the fee is a small fraction of turnover. The break-even table is on best value betting software 2026. A trial measured by CLV, not by a week of results, is the test: how to test a value betting tool.
